Some pieces don't need fastenings. The Alpaca Kimono Jacket falls open, layers effortlessly, and does exactly what it should, without asking anything of you.

Cut in a sleeveless kimono silhouette with an open front, this is a piece designed for instinctive dressing. The chevron stitch runs the full length of the garment, creating quiet movement and depth in a colourway that cannot be replicated, brown and grey pure alpaca yarns knitted together, each strand traceable to our own herd in the New Forest. The result is a rich, dimensional tone that shifts subtly in different light.

Wear it over a white tee and wide-leg trousers. Over a slip dress in the evening. Pulled close on a cool morning or left to drape through the afternoon. The silhouette is generous, the weight considered,  warm without heaviness, structured without stiffness.

Alpaca fibre breathes with the body. It regulates naturally, making this a piece that moves between seasons without effort.

Shipping & Returns

ALPACA APPAREL SHIPPING POLICY

We aim to process and post your order within 2-4 working days and we ship worldwide using Royal Mail. We offer three flat rate shipping services on our standard collections.

UK

Please choose either the Tracked 48 or Special Delivery option at checkout

Rest of the World (including USA)

Please choose the International Tracked and Signed or International Tracked at checkout. Contact us if you require further information and please see the rate card for your country.


UK Orders via Royal Mail take 2-3 working days. For Europe and International addresses please refer to the Royal Mail website and select your country for the most up to date and accurate information.

Customs / Duty

Alpaca Apparel does not take responsibility for any deliveries subject to customs charges / sales tax. This is worldwide and now includes all countries in the European Union. All orders sent to countries in the EU are now subject to Import Tax & Custom Fees.

The taxation for a particular country depends on the local GST/VAT, as well as the item category and its declared value so we advise you to check what your local rate is before committing to purchase.

There is a threshold which is the amount at which a person begins paying taxes based on the declared value of an item. Anything over that you will be subject to charges. Please note thresholds vary from country to country.

Lost / missing parcels.

Alpaca Apparel will not refund towards orders marked as delivered with a Royal Mail / courier tracking number and proof of postage. We will also not be responsible for any parcels missing where a third party has been nominated by you to accept the parcel on your behalf. It is also your responsibility to ensure your address is correct at the time of purchase. Please check all details before payment.

RETURNS AND EXCHANGES

If your item is not suitable, you are able to return within 14 days of receiving your order. Returns are not free, we advise all customers to use a tracked service. We can not accept returns that are lost, if customers use a tracked service they are insured with the specific courier.

Returns will not be accepted if the item is worn or showing signs of wear. Items must be make up, fragrance and stain free. All orders should be intact with a do not remove tag, that makes the item ineligible for a return if removed. All items must be unworn, with tags and ties still attached. We will not accept any returns that do not comply.

All original Alpaca Apparel tags must still be attached for a return to be accepted.

Every Piece Starts Here

The British Alpaca Society recognise 22 official alpaca fibre colours and patterns. Our herd are a real beautiful, unique mixture of them all! We will never dye our fleeces as this creates two benefits – a reduction in environmental impact and a longevity of the colours. We shear once a year and work with our partner mill to blend new colourways with the fleece we harvest. Furthermore, we will never be able to recreate the exact same colourways year on year due to the increase of variety of animals in the herd.

Our alpacas enjoy the tranquillity of their surroundings in the New Forest, Hampshire, with their welfare as our foremost concern.

Any sales will be used to directly support the care and sustainability of our herd.
