Undyed Alpaca Fibre Knit Poncho
This alpaca fibre poncho is knitted in a rich, undyed chestnut brown tone, with a relaxed round neckline and a fluid, draped silhouette that falls to a soft point at the sides. Lightweight yet warm, it layers easily over knitwear or tailoring and offers effortless, elevated coverage without structure or fastenings.
Crafted from responsibly farmed alpaca fibre, traced from our own New Forest herd, this poncho is produced in strictly limited numbers as part of Alpaca Apparel's provenance-led approach to luxury knitwear.

100% pure alpaca is celebrated for its fluid, elegant drape that gently relaxes to conform to your natural silhouette. Because pure alpaca fibres have low natural tension, the garment will beautifully mold to you over time. To reset the fibres and restore its original shape, simply hand wash/wool cycle machine was in cold water using a mild, pH-neutral wool wash or baby shampoo (avoid harsh enzymes or bleach). Press out the excess moisture, and lay it flat to dry while gently nudging it back into its proper dimensions.

about
Every Piece Starts Here
The British Alpaca Society recognise 22 official alpaca fibre colours and patterns. Our herd are a real beautiful, unique mixture of them all! We will never dye our fleeces as this creates two benefits – a reduction in environmental impact and a longevity of the colours. We shear once a year and work with our partner mill to blend new colourways with the fleece we harvest. Furthermore, we will never be able to recreate the exact same colourways year on year due to the increase of variety of animals in the herd.
Our alpacas enjoy the tranquillity of their surroundings in the New Forest, Hampshire, with their welfare as our foremost concern.
Any sales will be used to directly support the care and sustainability of our herd.
